Renishaw Probe Systems
Wenzel CMM’s are fitted with the Renishaw range of probe head, bodies, styli
and tool changers.

PH10 Motorised indexing heads allow flexible and repeatable
probe re-orientation.
The range comprises three PH10 models, each of which can carry a range of probes
and extensions and can be orientated in 720 repeatable positions, giving
access to the most difficult-to-reach workpiece features.
The Renishaw REVO™ high speed scanning probe
is available from Wenzel for use in a range of applications including turbine blade
and blisk measurement as well as cylinder head and bore measurement, in fact any
scanning application can benefit from the Renishaw REVO™ technology.
REVO™ is a dynamic new measuring head and probe system that offers 5-axis
measurement capability and is designed to maximise CMM throughput whilst maintaining
high system accuracy.
REVO™
uses synchronised motion and Renscan5™ measurement technology to
minimise the dynamic effects of CMM motion at ultra high measurement speeds. Using
Renscan5™, measurements are taken whilst moving the REVO™ head
synchronously with the CMM. The unwanted effects of CMM dynamics at high speeds
are removed.
The REVO™ probe is available with probe lengths of 350 mm, even longer in
future and is driven by the Renishaw UCC2 controller using the I++ DME protocol
interface. The system is coupled with the Wenzel Metrosoft measurement software.
Wenzel America has a REVO™ demonstration system installed in the Gloucester
Technical Centre, available now for customer evaluation.
SP25M comprises
two sensors in a single housing. Users can switch between a choice of four scanning
modules (which can carry M3 styli with lengths from 20 mm to 400 mm)
and an adaptor module that is compatible with Renishaw's TP20 range of probe modules.
This capability enables scanning and touch-trigger probing in a single probe system.
The SP25M's compact size and autojoint mounting makes it compatible with the PH10M/MQ
and PH6M probe heads. It can also be mounted on a multiwired extension bar. Together,
these combinations permit excellent reach and access to part features.
TP200
probe uses micro strain gauge transducers to deliver excellent repeatability and
accurate 3D form measurement even with long styli.
The sensor technology gives sub-micron repeatability and eliminates the lobing characteristics
encountered with kinematic probes.
The TP200B uses the same technology as TP200 but has been designed to have higher
tolerance to vibration. This helps to overcome the problem of 'air' trigger generation
which can arise from vibrations transmitted through the CMM or when using long styli
with faster positioning speeds.
Please note that we do not recommend the use of TP200B with the LF module or cranked/star
styli.
TP20
is a compact 5-way, or 6-way, kinematic touch-trigger probe system. The two-piece
design, comprising probe body and detachable stylus module(s), connected using a
highly repeatable magnetic kinematic coupling. This provides the facility
to change stylus configurations either manually or automatically without the need
for requalification of the stylus tips, thereby giving significant time savings
in inspection routines.
Modules offering a range of trigger forces allow the probe performance to be best
matched to the measurement task. A set of probe extensions is also available, as
is a 6-way module. The stylus mounting thread accepts styli from the Renishaw
M2 range.
Tool Changers. Renishaw supply a range
of tool changers for their products. These include the MCR20 for the TP20 range,
SCR200 for the TP200 and FCR25 for the SP25 probe system.
