The range of Wenzel-Scantec High Speed No-contact measuring machines consists of the generic MAXOS machines that can be mounted on Wenzel’s full range of CMMs and the dedicated CORE DS and CORE DG shop floor gauges.

MAXOS high speed production measuring machines use multi axis non-contact scanning technology already widely used for turbine blade measurement. The MAXOS machines, designed to replace dedicated gaging for production part measurement

Leaning on Wenzel’s heritage of high accuracy CMM technology the MAXOS is uniquely able to offer the accuracy and repeatability of a CNC CMM with significantly faster speed without touching the part and, uniquely, not requiring it to be sprayed with any type of coating. The MAXOS system can be mounted on any configuration of Wenzel CMM and tailored to a customer’s specific requirement.

Fast
A MAXOS or CoRE machine is many times faster than a conventional CMM on any given measurement. There is no down-time due to engineering changes which require rework of the masters used to calibrate dedicated fixturing.

Accurate
In its most accurate configuration a MAXOS system can achieve an accuracy of +/-4µm. It is not limited by stylus ball tip size and can measure features as small as 100µm

Non-contact
If the measuring machine doesn’t touch your part it can’t deform it or scratch it or contaminate it.

No need to spray coat - ever.
Unlike other optical scanners there is no need to spray even the shiniest parts. CORE will even measure glass!

Multi-axis
The MAXOS can have as many as 7 axes of movement by the addition of two infinitely variable rotary axes mounting the sensor to the quill and two rotary tables on the CMM bed.

ISO 10360 Calibration
Uniquely amongst optical scanners MAXOS and CoRE machines can be calibrated to ISO 10360 like any CMM.
