Wenzel exaCT® Computed TomographyWenzel ct scanning

Computed tomography (CT) has been used since the 1970s for medical applications it is a development of classic X-ray technology. While radioscopy X-ray devices reproduce two-dimensional radiographic images of objects. CT volume scanning technology generates three dimensional volume data. CT’s deployment in the industrial sector is relatively recent. The exaCT® CT workstation from WENZEL represents a breakthrough in accessibility through price, ease of use and ergonomics. Leaning on Wenzel’s heritage of high accuracy CMM technology the exaCT® is uniquely able to offer the accuracy and repeatability of a CNC CMM whilst measuring 100% of the part or assembly; inside and out!

Internal Features
Only CT technology can give you detail inside and out without destroying the parts.

Assemblies
This is the only way to measure parts when assembled. Measuring not just their individual dimensions but how they fit together too.

Porosity
Only CT can show 3D detail of voids in cast or molded parts.

Accurate
The exaCT® system uses detector developed in-house for industrial CT use with pixel sizes of 25µm to 100µm and uses the same mechanical components found in the most accurate Wenzel CMMs.

Non contact
If it doesn’t touch your part it can’t deform it or scratch it or contaminate it.

Configurable
Each customer can have an exaCT machine configured to the requirements of their task. Destop and workstation options, measuring volume, pixel size, software and x-Ray Power can be chosen to suit customer needs.

Small Footprint
The exaCT® system is integrated into a single unit with the smallest footprint of any industrial CT machine. It is fully accessible from the front so can sit by a wall like any workstation.

Safe
Completely safe to use in an office or lab environment.

Fast
100% Nominal-to-actual comparison against 3D-CAD models of individual parts and assemblies with color rendering.
