Wenzel America, Ltd. will be unveiling their newest Wenzel/Renishaw metrology breakthrough at IMTS 2014 on September 8th. Called Meridian, the newest Wenzel innovation combines the intrinsic accuracy of their XO55 CMM Coordinate Measuring Machine with the unmatched precision and versatility of Renishaw’s Equator gaging system.
With the cutting edge Meridian system companies can make master and golden calibrations more quickly and accurately. The increased production speed and customizability make Meridian ideal for high-volume shop floor production cells.
Powered by Renishaw’s MODUS software, the XO55 and Equator combination brings full compatibility and traceability to shop floor gaging. The increased production that results is easily handled with an additional Equator added to the production line.
“The Meridian system has been utilized by a number of Wenzel America and Wenzel UK customers to rave results,” says Andy Woodward, President of Wenzel America.
“Now we’re making it official by bringing the full system to IMT S 2014.”
According to Wenzel America literature, the Meridian system includes the installation of both components, the XO55 and Equator, along with training on the system and the MODUS software that power both machines.
This year’s IMTS will mark the North American debut of the Meridian shop floor gaging solution. Visitors can learn the full versatility of Meridian at Wenzel America’s booth # E-5698 in the Quality Assurance Pavilion at the International Manufacturing Technology Show September 8th-13th at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
