WENZEL Strengthens sales with the appointment of new Sales Managers

With Christian Fuchs and David Taylor, two experienced experts have taken over responsibility for sales activities at WENZEL as of October 1, 2019. Christian Fuchs is the new Sales Director of the WENZEL Group and is responsible for all sales activities worldwide. David Taylor, as European Sales Director is responsible for the activities of our subsidiaries in Europe.

Passion for metrology and leadership responsibility in the field of technically sophisticated products – these two newcomers are a great benefit for the whole group”, explains Prof. Dr. Heiko Wenzel-Schinzer, Managing Director and CDO at WENZEL. “We are now investing in the efficiency of our worldwide sales network in order to establish our new products for production and measuring rooms even more successfully on the market,” continues Managing Director Dr. Heike Wenzel.

In recent years WENZEL has developed from a medium-sized company to a globally operating group with more than 600 employees. In addition to its headquarters in Germany, WENZEL has its own subsidiaries in Europe (Switzerland, England, Italy and France), Asia (Singapore, India and China) and the USA. In many other countries WENZEL is represented by partners. The expansion of these branches as well as the intensification of the relations with the partners and the customers is the essential goal of WENZEL for the coming years.

Christian Fuchs also sees it this way and emphasizes: “Since 1968 the WENZEL Group has developed from a start-up company to a globally successful group of companies. The genes for success are founded in the sustainable company management and the teamwork of the employees”.

About Christian Fuchs

After studying mechanical engineering at the TH Darmstadt, Christian Fuchs worked for 10 years for a medium-sized plant manufacturer of food technology, first in project management and then in international sales. Then he moved to a French company in Stuttgart, which produces turnkey plants for flue gas cleaning for power stations and ship diesel engines in Europe. Over a period of 20 years, he developed these into one of the market leaders in Germany and Europe. Mr. Fuchs held various management positions in the sales management with procuration, deputy management and management.

About David Taylor

David Taylor joins WENZEL with almost 20 years sales experience. Having started life as an Engineering apprentice David found himself selling work holding equipment in 2001 for Kitagawa. After a rise up the corporate ladder David has spent time at FARO, Hexagon, Nikon and more recently LK CMM’s where he was Sales and Marketing Director. The main aspect of his roles has been developing successful strategies to gain market share and to increase profitable sales. David will now be responsible for European Sales with emphasis on growth and expanding the WENZEL customer base.
