Making Automation Effortless

“CR Engineering makes automation effortless for the customer.” Says Scott Romain the Mid-West Sales Manager for Wenzel America. That seems to be the message from everyone I speak to at Wenzel and why CR Engineering have been invited to join Wenzel on their Booth at IMTS this year.

There is currently tremendous interest from Wenzel’s many customers in the Aerospace, Automotive Medical and Defense Industries in automating the process of integrating quality control directly with the output of a manufacturing cell, particularly where 100% inspection is required.

Typically, customers looking to automate this process using robotics will sub-contract the whole task to an integrator at great cost in terms of both the time they spend educating the integrator in their specific business needs and also paying for the integrator and its subcontractors to do work that they could easily do themselves with their internal resources. . Why do they do this? The main reason is that they lack confidence and the skills required for just one part of the overall system; the “Brain” at the heart of the system controlling the robots.

CR Engineering have recognized this need and their answer is the “CR Control Stack”.  The CR Stack is a modular rack that contains all the control hardware and software needed to control the robot and its associated systems programmed for the specific task.  CR Engineering can advise on the rest of the installation such as the conveyors, the safety fence, the tooling and the robot itself but encourage the customer to do what they can of this themselves or point them in the right direction to purchase what they can’t.  The bottom line of this approach is savings in time and money for the customer along with the peace of mind that they are in safe hands technically.

CR Engineering was formed by partners Cale Colony and Kyle Rushing who met as students at OLSM High School years ago and years later reunited to form CR Engineering.

Scott Romain of Wenzel America once again: “For Large customers, CR Engineering will create an automation package to your exact specification for smaller customers CR Engineering are knowledgeable and flexible enough to consult our customer through to success.”

You can see a robotic solution from CR Engineering integrated with a Wenzel High Speed Scanning machine and meet founder Kyle Rushing on Booth 135622 at IMTS September 10th – 15th at McCormick Place Chicago IL.
